Tirumala devotees are being advised to plan their visit with caution, as the crowds have surged due to the weekend rush. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has issued an alert, warning that it currently takes up to 10 hours for devotees without SSD tokens to complete the Srivari Darshan.

Highlights:

  • 10-Hour Wait for Srivari Darshan
  • Crowd Surge at Tirumala and Kanipakam Temples
  • Income of Rs. 3.94 Crores from Devotee Offerings

Increased Crowds at Tirumala

The TTD has reported a significant increase in the number of devotees visiting Tirumala, especially with the onset of the weekend. The rush has led to extended waiting times, with devotees without SSD tokens facing delays of approximately 10 hours for darshan. Even devotees with Rs. 300 tickets are experiencing longer wait times, with an average of 3 hours required to reach Srivari Temple. On Friday alone, 63,731 devotees visited the temple, contributing Rs. 3.94 crores in offerings.

Kanipakam Temple Faces Similar Crowds

The rush isn't limited to Tirumala alone. The Kanipakam Sri Varasiddhi Vinayakaswamy temple has also witnessed a surge in devotees. On Saturday, both regular and Ayyappa devotees lined up for darshan, with the wait time reaching approximately 4 hours. The temple authorities have cautioned devotees to be prepared for similar delays.

Preparations for Tiruchanur Brahmotsavam

In related news, preparations for the Kartika Brahmotsavam of Goddess Sripadmavati in Tiruchanur are in full swing. The festivities will begin on November 28, and the temple is already adorned with impressive lighting. The decoration of the temple's garden, along with the installation of canopies and sheds, is progressing rapidly. TTD officials, including EO Shyamala Rao and JEO Veerabrahm, are overseeing the arrangements to ensure that devotees are comfortable during the celebrations.

Devotees are encouraged to plan their visits accordingly to avoid long wait times and ensure a smooth darshan experience at these popular temples.
